Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
The short version
Your PDF files are processed entirely in your browser using JavaScript. They are never uploaded to any server — not ours, not anyone else's.
What we collect
- Nothing from your PDF. Your file content, text, and metadata stay on your device and are discarded when you close the browser tab.
- Payment data via Stripe. When you pay to download, Stripe processes your card. We receive a confirmation and your email address (for your receipt). We never see or store your card number.
- Anonymous analytics events. We track funnel events (upload, edit, download) without personal identifiers, to improve the product.
- Referral source. If you arrive via a referral link (e.g. ?ref=reddit), we store that in your browser session to attribute traffic.
Cookies and storage
We use browser sessionStorage (not cookies) to keep your document and edits alive during your editing session. This data is cleared when you close the tab or browser.
Third-party services
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs their data handling.
- Vercel — hosting. Standard server access logs (IP, user agent, request path) may be retained per Vercel's policy.
Data retention
We do not store your PDF or edits. Stripe retains payment records per their legal obligations. Anonymous analytics events are retained for internal use only.
