FAQ
- Is this native-text redaction, or just covering text with white?
- PDFAmend removes supported native text objects, then draws an opaque black bar. Unlike white-rectangle tools, the source text should not remain selectable. Always inspect the exported PDF in your viewer before sharing sensitive drawings.
- Will it work on drawings from AutoCAD, Revit, or Bluebeam?
- Yes — as long as the PDF was exported with text layers (you can highlight text in the drawing). Raster/scanned drawings require OCR first.
- What if the client name appears in the title block on every sheet?
- Use Find (Ctrl+F) → type the name → Redact All. Every instance across all pages is redacted in one click.
